About Me

Frank Forte is a freelance event and product photographer based in Central New York State. His work includes regional automotive and motorcycle events, commissioned work for private vehicle collectors, public relations, publicity, editorial and product photography. In July of 2006 he provided extensive coverage for the Right Coast Association's Syracuse Nationals held at the New York State Fairgrounds. With 6,000 vehicles, over 300 vendors and 70,000 attendees, the Nationals is the largest regional event second only to the New York State Fair.

His photography has most recently appeared in Hot Rod Magazine (May 2006), American Iron (June 2006), Street Rod Builder (August 2006) and in the American Historic Truck Association's "Wheels of Time" (May/June 2006). Forte's work appears regularly in the Right Coast Association's "Cool Cars, Hot Happenings" magazine and web-site. In September 2006 Forte was featured in a fine art exhibit of his auto, cycle and vintage truck photography at the Edith Langley Barrett Fine Art Gallery, Utica College.

In addition to his work in the auto and cycle field, Forte covers a variety of assignments for the travel and tourism industry, historic associations, architectural firms, regional businesses and fine art print display projects. He regularly volunteers his services for charitable and educational organizations. He has covered assignments in Nantucket, Boston, Dallas, Virginia Beach, New York City, Orlando and Daytona.

Reflected in his work is attention to detail, brilliant color, dramatic location settings and capturing the "decisive moment" in his action photography. While the vehicles that he encounters are interesting, he finds the people and stories behind the vehicles more fascinating. His mission is to celebrate the unique personalities and skills of the people who design, produce, preserve and own these amazing machines.

His client list includes, in part, Harley Davidson / Buell of Utica, New York State Historical Association, Bassett Healthcare of Cooperstown, Hippos House of Billiards, The Otesaga Hotel - Cooperstown, L. M. Townsend Catering, Sumax Powder-coating, Tucci Hot Rods, Mohawk Valley Heritage Corridor, Bonacci Architects, F.W. Kyes Transportation and Herkimer County Historical Society.
